I really enjoy the various aspects of money! I like to count it and learn what can be done with it. Sharing what I have learned over the years, and continue to learn, is what I love to do.

I am currently financially secure and consider myself to be semi-retired. My life wasn’t always this way. When I was young, I would often be a bit panicked when I wasn’t certain there was too much month left and not enough money.

I left home due to family issues, and when I returned to college, I had car payments and $1,000 in my account. Obviously, this wasn’t the most financially sound decision I could have made! Granted, it was the seventies, and that amount of money went further then. It was still hard!

I found that if I maintained that my bills were what needed to be paid first, followed by a strict grocery budget, I could survive each month. A lot can be done with rice! I lived in a simple two-room apartment in a house that had once been a single-family home. It was old, but it was a place where I could get a start in life.
